History, Capabilities and Mission Briefs
Sgt Patrick Foley, Commander of the MSP URU will discuss the history, capabilities and 3 mission briefs. Sgt Foley will cover why, how and when the Unit started, its early days, and the current status of the Unit. Sgt Foley will also cover the many capabilities of the Unit. This will include diving capabilities, dive equipment, electronic equipment, and port security capabilities and certifications.
The final phase of the presentation will highlight three missions that were conducted by the MSP URU and the process of planning the missions, briefing the missions, safety considerations, conducting the mission, and the outcome.
The presentation will be followed by a question and answer period to address any questions related to the MSP Underwater Recovery Unit.
Sgt Patrick Foley
Avid diver since 1985. Dive instructor certified with PADI, SDI and ERDI agencies. He is a 27 yr. veteran of the MSP, 25 year member of the MSP Underwater Recovery Unit and Unit Commander since January 2015.
