7 Ways to Frustrate Cyber Attackers - FBI Boston CAAA Pulse Webinar

About this event

7 Ways to Frustrate Cyber Attackers
As the daily barrage of headlines continues to roll in, it is easy to feel deflated as a cybersecurity defender. Most first-time penetration tests follow a standard attack path based on these common weaknesses and misconfigurations. Not surprisingly, these are the same techniques used in real-world attacks. What if you could flip the script on those attackers (authorized or not)? We’ve all heard that attackers only need to be right once, while defenders need to be right every time. Frustrated attackers tilt the scale in favor of the defender – either they make mistakes, giving us a chance to respond, or they move on to an easier target. Either case is a win for the defender.

This session presents a case for 7 things defenders can do today for free that frustrates attackers into a self-defeating spiral.

Key Takeaways:

• The most common attacker techniques

• Defensive techniques to disrupt the attack

• How to build a process to keep up with changes in attack techniques
